    Building pi in a World of Slop — Mario Zechner

    A very interesting presentation from Mario Zechner about agentic coding, showcasing his AI agent toolkit “pi”. At the end he talks about how to actually code with an agent from his experience. “Slow the fuck down” is his recommendation. It is similar to what I aimed with my Claude Code skill “Sidekick”

    My post Why I Switched from Hugo to Astro got featured on the official Astro blog, in the July Migration Stories roundup. All those late nights fighting the content collection schema and rebuilding this whole blog from scratch, and the people who actually build Astro noticed. Take that, every 2am moment I almost gave up and went back to Hugo.

    Stop externalizing your costs on me

    This one struck a nerve. It puts words to something I’ve felt for a while: the broad, careless use of LLMs quietly pushes the cost of the mess onto everyone downstream. It reinforces the same argument I made in We got lost in AI, except Drew lays out the receipts better than I could.
